Revolutionary Worship

So I'm reading a book entitled "Wired For A Life Of Worship" by Louie Giglio and it has really challenged my view of what worship really is. I suppose that I have fell into the trap of thinking that worship falls into the category of Sunday Morning at 11 am and Wednesday Nites at 7. Well the book offers a totally different aspect. Giglio says that everyone worships: no matter what religion they are, people everywhere worship. Some worship money, sex, the perfect job, or Religion. Ok so he really didn't say religion, but I just thought that I would add that one in there. Anyways, so I have honestly just finished the first chapter, but its really inspired me to do a checklist of what I worship.
So after doing this checklist, I found that I worship quite a few things actually. I worship my relationships, my future job, and my Xbox 360 (lol). So I'm sure that you've heard the phrase "Put your money where your mouth is". Well, I believe that Jesus is chillin' in Heaven and looking down at all us "Christians", who claim to worship Him, and saying "Put your TIME where your mouth is. At least that is what He is saying to me. I'm so good at spending time everywhere else except in time with God.
Wow! So its well said that worship is a lifestyle, and I've heard that dozens of times before... I guess its just really sinkin' in...FINALLY
Well I hope that I haven't lost anyone through my ADHD blogging....haha who am I kidding. No one ever reads these blogs hahaha!

When We Fall Behind

I found this inspiring story while just surfing the net...maybe you've heard it; maybe you haven't. Either way here goes!

Derek Redmond’s career was affected by injuries. He failed to finish the 400m final at the Olympics in Seoul when he sustained an Achilles problem and four years later the same thing happened again. Along the back straight, his hamstring snapped and Redmond fell. He pulled himself up, determined to finish the race. His father had been watching from the stands close to where the drama had unfolded and, dodging his way past officials, he jumped over the railing onto the track to help his son finish the race.

Isn't that the same way it is with us? While "running the race of life" there are obstacles, trials, and screw ups on our end of the deal. But when these circumstances come against us and we fall and we can't make it on our own, our Heavenly Father comes out from the stands and picks us up and helps us through the tough times.

Nursing!!!

Well I've figured out that the best route for me to go as far as my nursing goes is to be an LPN first. I've talked to some people and I would be able to graduate quicker and get a stable job with some benefits and then through the LPN Mobility Program at Snead, I would be able to get my ASN through all online classes. So that is the update the only thing standing in my way now is getting a higher grade on the Reading Part of the Compass test. Whats the compass test?? I have to take it because I didn't take the ACT. So I never really like grammar and all that sort of stuff in high school and now I have to take a test on all that after not doing any of it in over 4 years. Basically sucks, but I have to do it. So if ya get a second, say a prayer for me so that I can get in and get my life rollin' on!

Its Been Awhile!!

Well its been a looong time since my last blog. In fact, I have no clue when the last time I wrote one. Oh well. Any ways, things are goin pretty good. Some things have changed, but nothing major. I got a new dog! He was in a ditch on the side of the road so Susan (woman I work with) picked him up and now he's chillin with me. Brittany named him Jake after T.D. Jakes lol.. Well another thing that changed is that I'm not apart of the band "Beyond The Altar" anymore. It ended as quick as it started pretty much.

I'm now apart of the youth staff at church! I think that I'm gonna like it. Hopefully it will get me more involved with the students and it will help me in my ministry. I now also work with "The Rock" on Sunday mornings. I absolutely LOVE working with the kids there! They are sooo awesome and its awesome to see their passion for God and how they don't care what anyone else thinks. They all come running to "Worship Zone" and worship during praise and worship. Then when they listen to the message, Sis Paula or John give an altar call and they come flooding into the altar. It really is an awesome thing to witness their passion for God!

Well that gives everyone who might read this a quick update into my life. Hopefully I'll have the time to start blogging more and if I can find the chord that goes to my computer maybe I can upload some pics lol.

Deuces!
